The pages present the information in a way that interests and encourages others to join. The example I used was the school of communication. It’s no wonder that the information is good at trying to recruit new people. I envision myself using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently and effectively by making sure all my students understand the information. If the child is unaware of how to use the technology it will ultimately be a waste. The specific teacher productivity tools I will use include google mostly. Google is by far the best tool to be used because it opens up a realm to so many other easy-to-use tools.  My experience with working in the wiki platform (PB Works) was difficult. I didn’t enjoy it because the layout of the site seemed old and hard to navigate. I found myself having to teach myself certain funct

My initial thought and experience with using Diigo was “I hope this is easy to navigate so that I can pass.” I was happy to see that it was and was actually a nice resource. The only aspect that I disliked was  My experience with blogging was nice. I mentioned that at the beginning of class I’ve always wanted to start blogging my life. Blogging allowed me to keep an exact track of information, dates and much more. During the blogging process I’ve learned to enjoy being organized and in order.  An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I would consider using as a teaching tool would be YouTube. For me youtube would make things so much easier. Students could get the videos perspective at their own pace and then gather their own. This would allow for elaboration which I believe is most important in the classroom.

For me, I definitely use Twitter the least of all my social media platforms. I was using it as a means of contacting friends who also use it. I felt for a while that Twitter was just a waste of space so I just deleted the app completely. Since re-downloading the app I have found a purpose for the app. I am happy that I can now use it for a more professional means of communication with others.  The digital divide affects student success in schools by favouring those with access and placing those without access at a disadvantage. The digital divide is caused by some students having what others lack. I know that with being a teacher there will be many students and each will be different in their own way. I also have to expect the difference some of their at-home circumstances will vary. In the video the recommendation was made for teachers to dedicate a portion of class time to developing the student's technological abilities, this is what I would do to narrow the division.  Two softw

Standards

This week's blog post will be on ELA standards. I learned today that the branch ELA is broader than just reading it covers all core subjects such as science, social studies and even history. The standard that I will be describing is standard LAFS.4.RI.3.7. This standard simply meanings being able to understand the material given to you so well that you are able to re-present it in another form such as visually, verbally, or even with making a chart or graph. I feel prepared to interpret this standard based on my current skills because I personally enjoy being able to interpret things in another way. I often see things in a different light from others and that helps me to be able to better grasp the concepts being presented. For my resource, I chose English language arts and original student tutorials for language arts- grades k-5. With choosing this resource I was able to have seven items so that I would be better suited to teach things such as the difference between formal and in
